Ludlites ♥ Nature – The world through a plastic lens V6

LUDLITES ♥ NATURE

Where:  Superintendents Residence, Centennial Park
When: 29 April to 3 June, Friday to Sunday, 9am to 4pm

In our SIXTH annual show we are turning our plastic lens’ on the natural world in honour of Centennial Parklands.

Each photographer has taken a unique approach and exploited the unusual qualities of the cameras, resulting in an exhibition of great breadth and scope. From Manet-inspired landscape to trees comprised of multiple images, from pinhole tree-scapes to a metre-long panorama constructed of over 50 exposures on a single roll.

The cameras – the Holga and the Diana – have been around since the mid-1960’s and use film to create photographs that are stylistically unique and often quite dreamy and mysterious.

While plastic bags are a natural enemy of nature, the plastic lens camera helps us look at and appreciate it in a whole new way.

Photographers:  PATRICK BOLAND, HELEANA GENAUS, TIM GIBBS, STEVEN GODBEE, ANDREW HOYNE, TIM HIXSON, ANIKA LUZEMANN, ANTHONY McGOVERN, ALI NASSERI and IAN TATTON
